Egyptian striker Abdel Karim set to secure work permit after joining Barcelona

Barcelona is set to resolve the work permit issues that have kept young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim from playing with their reserve side.

Abdel Karim joined Barcelona’s reserve team, Barça Atlètic, on a six-month loan from Al Ahly during the winter transfer window, with an option for a permanent move.

However, delays in processing his work permit and registration have prevented him from making his debut.

Moroccan journalist Ashraf Ben Ayad, who closely follows Barcelona, reported that the striker is expected to receive his work permit within days.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Abdel Karim recently returned to Egypt to help speed up the process.

Once cleared, the Egyptian forward is likely to feature first with Barcelona’s youth team, a simpler registration step before joining the reserve squad.
