Egyptian international Mohammed Trezeguet has made a return to Al Ahly ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
Al Ahly are keen on strengthening their squad for the impending tournament and the upcoming campaign at large.
In an attempt to leave a mark at the Club World Cup, Al Ahly have secured the signing of Trezeguet, marking his return to the club after 10-years.
The 30-year-old midfielder began his professional career at Al Ahly. He started in the youth ranks before earning promotion to the senior team.
During his 3 years with Al Ahly’s first team, the Egyptian helped the club win the CAF Champions League twice, along with several other international trophies.
Throughout his career, Trezeguet has played for Anderlecht, Aston Villa, Beşiktaş, and several other Turkish clubs. Most recently, the midfielder was with Qatari side Al-Rayyan, where he played since last year.
Trezeguet is expected to feature for Al Ahly at Club World Cup, which commences on June 15. Al Ahly will open their account at the maiden tournament against Inter Miami.
