Egyptian Olympic team plays a goalless draw against Qatar in Paris Olympics preparation

In preparation for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, the Egyptian Olympic team engaged in a friendly match against Qatar, resulting in a goalless draw at the prestigious Al-Shamal Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Pharaohs’ Olympic squad is currently undergoing an external training camp in Dubai as part of their preparations for the Paris Olympics, while Qatar’s national team is gearing up for the Asia qualification tournament for the same event.

The Egyptian Olympic team commenced the match with the following lineup:

Goalkeeper: Hamza Alaa

Defense: Hossam Abdel Meguid – Mohamed Tarek – Ahmed Eid – Karim El Deeb

Midfield: Mahmoud Saber – Mahmoud Jihad – Mohamed Shhata

Forward: Ahmed Atef “Qata” – Osama Faisal – Mostafa Saad

During the second half, substitutions were made, including Ahmed Hamdi, Majed Hani, Hossam Ashraf, Omar Khedr, Mohamed Maghrabi, Mohamed Mahmoud, and Ahmed Reda.

Despite dominating the gameplay in the second half, the Egyptian Olympic team struggled to find the net, while the Qatari team leaned towards a defensive strategy.

The tournament, featuring the participation of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, serves as a crucial preparatory phase for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

The friendly draw against Qatar signifies the challenging competition expected in the quest for Olympic glory, leaving fans anticipating the Pharaohs’ performance in the prestigious event.
