Egyptian midfielder Nabil Emad Dunga will miss Zamalek’s upcoming Premier League game against ZED FC due to suspension.
The reigning CAF Confederation Cup holders will play host to ZED FC on Thursday in matchday 16 of the Egyptian top-flight.
However, the 28-year-old enterprising midfielder is suspended for the crucial match, to be held at Cairo International Stadium due to yellow card accumulation.
Dunga picked up his third yellow card in their 1-1 stalemate against rivals Al Ahly on Saturday, making him unavailable for the upcoming clash.
His absence comes as a huge blow for Zamalek, who are desperate to secure victory to maintain momentum as the battle for the top-flight continues.
Dunga has made 13 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal and providing an assist across the period.
In all competitions, he has made 22 appearances, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
With 28 points, Zamalek is now ranked third in the Egyptian Premier League and is hoping to win to maintain their position in the running for the championship.
ZED FC, who are 13th on the log with 16 points, are doing everything possible to rejuvenate their season after a string of poor results.
