Egyptian midfielder Amr El-Sulaya has turned down proposal to leave Al Ahly in the ongoing transfer window.
Libyan club Al-Ahly Tripoli and an unnamed club from the UAE were keen about securing the services of the 34-year-old on loan from Al Ahly.
But the experienced midfielder has reportedly rejected a move away from the record CAF Champions League holders despite nearing the expiration of his contract.
El-Sulaya wants to stay until the end of the 2024/25 football campaign. He will, however, decide his fate at the expiration of his contract.
The midfielder is said to be keen about participating in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup to be held in the USA.
This season, the experienced midfielder has made seven appearances in the Egyptian Premier League, scoring just a goal across the period.
At the international level, El-Sulaya has made 50 appearances, scoring one goal in the process.
