Egyptian giants Al Ahly has opened talks to sign Mauritanian striker Mamadou Diallo in the current transfer window.
The 29-year-old attacker, who plies his trade for Bulgarian club CSKA 1948 has attracted attention with his outstanding statistics this season, having scored 13 goals in 19 matches with his team, which has made him a target for Al-Ahly.
Diallo welcomes the idea of moving to the Egyptian league, and has already informed his club about the desire to join Al Ahly in the current window.
But negotiations for the acquisition of the attacker has halted due to the excessive financial demands of CSKA 1948 officials, who raised their financial demands in exchange for releasing the player.
Despite the stalled negotiations, the player and his agent still have hope of completing the deal, but the Bulgarian club’s insistence on maximizing financial gain remains the biggest obstacle to Diallo’s transfer to Al-Aly.
The forward joined CSKA 1948 in 2025 and has since established himself as a key member of the team. His current contract with the Bulgarian outfit expires in 2028.
