Egyptian giants Al Ahly moves to secure permanent acquisition of Ceramica Cleopatra forward Marwan Osman
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have resolved to sign enterprising attacker Marwan Osman on a permanent deal from Ceramica Cleopatra ahead of the summer transfer window.
Following a lengthy meeting earlier this week, the Red Devils has decided to strengthen their frontline after the current attacking options failed to meet expectations.
Concerns surrounds Yassin Kamouich, whose performances have fallen short of the club’s ambitions. However, Al Ahly have intensified efforts to secure a more reliable solution up front, with the club setting sights on a permanent switch for Osman.
Per reports, Al Ahly have decided to open negotiations to permanently sign Marwan Osman from Ceramica Cleopatra FC in the summer.
The move has received approval from both the club’s football management and the technical staff led by Danish coach Jess Thorup, underlining the striker’s importance in the club’s summer plans.
Osman is currently on loan at Al Ahly from Ceramica Cleopatra until the end of the season. However, a significant hurdle remains — his loan agreement does not include a purchase option clause, meaning fresh negotiations will be required between the two clubs.
The 23-year-old has featured in eight matches for Al Ahly so far, scoring two goals without registering an assist. Despite the modest statistics, the club’s technical team believes he has shown enough promise to justify a permanent move.
With the summer window approaching, Al Ahly appear determined to reshape their attacking department, and Marwan Osman could be the first piece of a broader rebuilding process aimed at restoring the club’s cutting edge.
