Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have agreed to transfer youngster Bilal Attia to Spanish outfit Racing Santander, marking a huge step in his football career.
The Egyptian rising star is joining Racing Santander for a season and a half loan spell, keeping him at the club beyond 2026.
Racing Santander are seeking for promotion to the Spanish top-flight. Currently, the club find themselves in second spot in the Segunda Division with 44 points, just a point behind log leaders, in a strong battle for promotion.
Bilal Attia had previously spent a period of training with the German club Hannover, before returning to be with the Egyptian team.
He had previously participated with the youth national team in the Under-17 World Cup held in Qatar, where the team bid farewell to the tournament from the round of 32 after losing to Switzerland by three goals to nil.
Bilal Attia’s move to Racing Santander is an opportunity for the player to develop his technical level and gain professional experience in Europe, in a move that reflects Al-Ahly’s keenness to give its young players strong opportunities to excel outside of Egypt.
