Egyptian giants Al Ahly have accepted Imam Ashour’s apology after being suspended for indiscipline.
Ashour has been slapped with a two weeks suspended and a financial penalty of 1.5 million pounds, after failing to travel with the team for their CAF Champions League clash against Young Africans this weekend.
But the enterprising midfielder has formally apologized to the club, with the Egyptian giants expected to set a new date for his return to training.
Ashour was not present at the training session for the players excluded from the Tanzania trip on Thursday morning, since his training program will be completely separate. He will be officially notified of the new individual training date.
Meanwhile, Ashour has expressed his full commitment to the imposed penalty, and confirmed his acceptance of the decision and his unwillingness to escalate the matter or enter into any new crises with the club.
Al Ahly is preparing to face Tanzania’s Young Africans in a match scheduled for 3 pm tomorrow, Saturday, Cairo time, as part of the continental championship competition.
