Egyptian trainer Ayman El-Ramadi has been appointed with an immediate effect to replace Peseiro at Zamalek.
The former coach of Ceramica Cleopatra will serve as the acting head coach until a permanent head coach is appointed by the club. Ayman El-Ramadi, who has been without a club since February 2025 is expected to bring his expertise to turn things around for the club.
The 50-year-old tactician has had spells with several clubs including Ittihad Kalba, Aswan SC, Emirates FC and others.
Peseiro joined Zamalek on a two-year after ending his spell with the Nigeria national team. However, his stint in Egypt has been cut short following the club’s poor run of results. He leaves the club after just 82 days in charge of Zamalek after failing to live up to expectations.
In 17 matches in charge of Zamalek, the Portuguese coach lost twice and drew eight games. The team was knocked out of both the CAF Confederation Cup and the League Cup, but managed to reach the final of the Egypt Cup. Currently, Zamalek sits third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 40 points.
