Egyptian forward Mostafa Mohamed set for Konyaspor move

Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed is closing in on a move to Turkish side Konyaspor after falling out of favour at Nantes.

The forward has been training with the French club’s reserve team, increasing speculation over his future ahead of the transfer deadline.

According to reports, Konyaspor have identified Mohamed as their replacement for Slovenian striker Blaz Kramer, who is set to leave the club for fellow Turkish side Antalyaspor.

Antalyaspor president Mustafa Ergun confirmed that his club have reached an agreement with Kramer and are now preparing to complete the transfer.

“Unless something unexpected happens at the last minute, we have reached an agreement with Kramer, and we will not be able to prepare him for the Sarıyer match,” Ergun said.

He added that Kramer is expected to be available for the team’s upcoming match against Bandırmaspor, depending on the decision of the coaching staff.

Kramer is expected to say goodbye to his Konyaspor teammates and coaching staff before travelling to Antalya for his medical examination and the finalisation of his move.

Turkish reports claim Mostafa Mohamed has been lined up as his replacement, with Konyaspor ready to proceed with the Egyptian’s signing once Kramer’s departure is completed.

Mohamed’s potential move to Turkey would give him an opportunity to revive his career after struggling for regular playing time at Nantes.
