In a dedicated effort to monitor the nationwide referees’ development and assessment camp held at the youth facilities in Abu Qir, Captain Amer Hussein, a member of the Egyptian Football Union’s board, expressed his support.
The camp is organized under the supervision of Captain Saeed Abdel-Ghaffar, a member of the main refereeing committee, and Captain Ahmed Abu Elala, a lecturer and development officer.
Captain Hussein made it a point to attend the camp, aiming to encourage and motivate the referees.
In a statement to “Al-Watan,” he highlighted the impressive enthusiasm of the female referees, emphasizing their aspirations for international recognition, excellence, and elevating Egypt’s name on the global stage in various international competitions.
“I was impressed by their passion and their vision for the future.
They dream of global recognition, excellence, and raising Egypt’s name in international competitions.
The committee in charge is making significant efforts to enhance the performance of the referees,” Captain Hussein said.
The camp, overseen by Captain Ramadan Othman, Captain Rafat El-Dewy, Captain Hussein Anwar, Captain Tahir Farag, and Captain Ahmed Essam, is supported by the Alexandria Football Committee.
It aims to elevate the skills of referees and contribute to the overall improvement of football officiating in the region.
