Ihab El-Komy, a member of the board of directors of the Egyptian Football Federation, stated that Hossam Hassan, the new head coach of the Egyptian national team, has not yet communicated with Mohamed Salah, the captain of the Pharaohs and the star of Liverpool.
El-Komy, speaking on the “Box to Box” program on ETC channel, noted that “so far, the new coaching staff of the Egyptian national team has not met with Mohamed Salah nor spoken to him at all.”
He added, “Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhi is keen to remove any tension between the two parties if there is any misunderstanding, and there have been no sessions between Hossam Hassan and Salah.”
El-Komy continued, “Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egyptian national team, informed us that he tried to communicate with Salah, but he couldn’t reach him directly.”
He further stated, “This has also happened during the tenure of some foreign coaches of the national team, and the Minister of Sports managed to reach Salah due to their strong relationship.”
