The Egyptian FA has rejected a request from Pyramids FC to postpone their Premier League match against Ceramica Cleopatra.
Pyramids asked for a postponement to enable them prepare adequately for their CAF Champions League final match against Mamelodi Sundowns. The Egyptian club will face Sundowns in a two-legged final on May 24 and June 1 respectively.
With the Egyptian FA rejecting Pyramids request, the match will go on as planned. This means Pyramids will face their opponent in the league on May 28 before the Champions League return encounter with Sundowns.
Pyramids have enjoyed a good season, reaching the Champions League final after eliminating Orlando Pirates in the semifinals.
In the Premier League, Pyramids sit second on the standings with 47 points, just two points behind log leaders Al Ahly.
