Egyptian FA clears Kenyan teenage sensation Baron Ochieng to play for Zamalek
Egyptian Football Association has cleared Kenyan teenage sensation, Baron Ochieng to feature for Zamalek in the top-flight.
The 19-year-old defender recently secured a move to the Egyptian top-flight after ending his spell with Kenyan club Sofapaka. Ochieng penned a four-year contract running until 2029 to join Zamalek as a free agent.
Despite arriving late at the club, the Egyptian FA has agreed to register Ochieng on Zamalek’s roster as a free agent and under the age of 19.
Zamalek is set to complete registration procedures, making Ochieng officially available to participate in the upcoming matches.
The Kenyan international joined group training, as he gear up for his spell with the Egyptian giants. Meanwhile, his debut for Zamalek will be determined by the technical staff, led by Belgian Yannick Ferreira.
Despite showcasing glimpses of good performance, the defender has yet to make an appearances for the Kenya national team.
Zamalek will play host to Al Masry in matchday six of the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
