The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has announced the penalties following the third round of the NILE League for the 2024-2025 season. The disciplinary measures were issued in line with the competition’s regulations, covering both club and player infractions.
Among the notable penalties, Al-Ahly player Taher Mohamed Taher received a one-match suspension and a fine of EGP 5,000 for accumulating a third yellow card during the team’s match against Al-Ittihad.
Pyramids FC’s head coach, Krunoslav Jurčić, was also handed a one-match suspension and fined EGP 5,000 after his expulsion in the game against Al-Ahly Bank.
Zamalek, another major club in the league, faced a significant fine of EGP 100,000 for unsporting behavior from its supporters, who were involved in collective insults directed at the referee and players from the opposing team, Al Masry.
Additionally, Pharco FC was fined EGP 10,000 for failing to meet safety standards, as they did not provide the required two ambulances or necessary medical supplies during their match against Enppi.
In the match between Border Guards and Ceramica Cleopatra, Fakhri Lakay of Ceramica Cleopatra was suspended for one match and fined EGP 5,000 for receiving a third yellow card.
These actions reflect the league’s commitment to upholding discipline and maintaining the integrity of the competition, as outlined by the NILE League’s Competition Regulations for the 2024-2025 season.
