A source within the Al-Masry club has disclosed that several teams are in talks to acquire Marwan Hamdy during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Marwan Hamdy found himself out of favor with Al-Masry club after facing suspension due to his altercation with fans during a match against Pyramids in the league.
The source informed FilGoal.com, “Officials from Pyramids, Zamalek, and Ceramica Cleopatra have contacted the club to discuss the possibility of signing Marwan Hamdy.”
A close source to the player exclusively told “FilGoal.com” that there has been a meeting between Marwan Hamdy and Al-Masry club to determine his stance regarding the offers.
“Al-Masry club has set a EGP 30 million price for the player, and discussions are ongoing regarding the presented offers,” clarified the source.
“Marwan has been training with the team for a week now, and he might continue with the team if not sold or if a suitable selling price is not reached,” added the source.
Earlier, FilGoal.com learned that the board of Al-Masry club decided to allow the player to return to group training after the recent suspension period.
This decision aligns with FIFA regulations to prevent the player from filing a complaint against the club for not participating in the training sessions.
Zed Club had previously inquired about the financial terms with Al-Masry club for the potential signing of Marwan Hamdy, as per FilGoal.com’s information.
Al-Masry club had imposed a fine of one million Egyptian pounds on Marwan Hamdy following his inappropriate gestures towards the club’s fans during a match against Pyramids.
Earlier reports revealed that Al-Masry club set a EGP 40 million price tag for the sale of Marwan Hamdy, who was acquired for EGP 23 million from Zamalek.
Marwan Hamdy, boasting 12 international caps with the Egyptian national team, has scored one goal in these appearances.
The ongoing discussions surrounding his potential departure continue to shape the narrative of this transfer window.
