Egyptian outfit El Gouna FC have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Joshua Igaji in the winter transfer window.
He becomes the sixth Nigerian player to join Gouna’s squad this season after Favour Akem, Ojo Samuel, Shamsu Kabir, Obina Okoronkwo, and Taiwo Orbilai.
The enterprising attacker also the fifth signing in the winter window for Gouna after Marwan Mohsen (free transfer)Abdallah Yassin (free transfer)Mohamed El Nohas (from ENPPI)Mohamed El Alami (from Suez National Team).
Gouna have struggled to find their rhythm in the ongoing campaign and are currently sitting 17th position with only 7 points. The team has also scored the fewest goals in the league—only 3 goals in 12 matches.
However, Guona FC will be counting on the Nigerian attacker to spearhead their redemption in the campaign.
In an attempt to turn around their dismal recent performance, Gouna will take on Ismaily SC on Wednesday in Matchweek 13 of the Egyptian Premier League.
