Al-Masry have completed the acquisition of Rwandan midfielder Bonheur Mugisha ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
The 25-year-old midfielder joins Al-Masry on a three-year deal from Tunisian club Stade Tunisian, bolstering their ranks for impending campaign.
With his contract expiring in 2028, the Rwandan international is expected to play a huge role for Al-Masry next season. He joins the club upon the recommendation of Tunisian coach Nabil Kouki.
Mugisha previously played for Tunisia’s Mostakbal El Marsa, Libya’s Al-Ahly Benghazi, and Rwanda’s Army.
He becomes the third signing of Al Masry following the arrival of Algerian Mondher Tamine, a striker for CS Constantine, and Omar Al-Saai, a midfielder for Al Ahly.
Meanwhile, Al Masry dispensed with the services of a number of players, including Nigerian John Ebuka, Tunisian Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, Senegalese Papa Badji, Guinean Amadou Bah, and Benin’s Atedjiko Samadou, in addition to the departures of Mohamed Debash, Khaled El-Ghandour, Samir Fikry, goalkeeper Mohamed Mohsen, and defender Ahmed Emad.
The midfielder has made seven appearances for the Rwanda national team, since making his debut in 2022.
