Egyptian attacker Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for November after playing a pivotal role in Liverpool’s three consecutive victories in the league.
Salah, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2010, contributed to five of Liverpool’s seven goals in November, including scoring and assisting in wins over Brighton, Aston Villa, and Southampton.
His brace against Southampton marked a milestone, as he scored his 100th goal for Liverpool away from Anfield across all competitions.
This marks Salah’s first Player of the Month award since October 2023, bringing his total to six – a record for a Liverpool player, tying with Steven Gerrard.
Salah is now one award away from equaling the Premier League record held by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero, both with seven.
Salah’s impressive form has carried over into December, with three goals and two assists in recent matches against Newcastle United and Manchester City.
His performance against Newcastle was particularly notable, as he became the player with the most Premier League games in which he both scored and assisted, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s 36 such matches with 37.
Additionally, Salah has now scored in seven consecutive Premier League matches, joining Jamie Vardy and Ruud van Nistelrooy as the only players with two separate streaks of seven or more consecutive games scored in the competition.
Salah will be looking to extend his form as Liverpool prepares to face Fulham at Anfield on Saturday.
