Egypt Under-17s Set September Training Camp Ahead of Qatar World Cup and Switzerland International Tournament

Egypt’s under-17 national team will hold a 12-day training camp in September as part of its preparations for the World Cup in Qatar, head coach Hussein Abdel Latif has confirmed.

The camp will take place at the National Teams Centre and is designed to prepare the squad for the International Friendship Tournament in Switzerland.

Egypt will face a strong field at the competition, with England, South Korea, Colombia, Brazil and Senegal also scheduled to take part.

Waleed Darwish, an Egyptian Football Association board member and the official overseeing the team, is expected to meet the coaching staff in the coming hours. The meeting will focus on finalising the camp programme and arranging the squad’s travel to Switzerland.

Egypt Football Association technical director Shawky Gharib will also hold talks with Abdel Latif to discuss the team’s preparations and ensure the squad is ready for the World Cup.

The coaching staff see the Switzerland tournament as a valuable opportunity for the players to gain international experience by competing against highly regarded youth sides ahead of the finals in Qatar.
