Egyptian international Mohammed Salah is close to breaking into the top three all-time top scorers at Liverpool.
The former Roma and Chelsea forward is 14 goals behind third-placed Gordon Hodgson (241).
The Egyptian forward, currently with 227 goals, is in fifth place and just one behind fourth-placed Billy Liddell, who has 228.
Salah could surpass Hodgson by the end of the season, putting him behind only Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).
The enterprising winger scored the only goal when Liverpool defeated Girona on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League. It was his 50th Champions League career goal.
Salah converted perfectly from the spot in the second half to give Liverpool a 1-0 victory on matchday six of the league phase.
The Egyptian has been in fine form this season, scoring 16 goals and providing 12 assists in 22 games across competitions.
