Egyptian international Mohammed Salah has reached another milestone in the English Premier League after inspiring Liverpool to victory on Wednesday.
Salah contributed three goals, scoring two and assisting one as Liverpool played out a 3-3 draw against Newcastle United.
He has, however, surpassed Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney’s record in the Premier League.
It was Salah’s 37th time scoring and assisting in the Premier League, surpassing Rooney’s previous record of 36
Salah reached that tally in 214 fewer appearances than Rooney and, given his current form, he is likely to add to his return before the end of the season.
The former Chelsea and Roma star has racked up 13 goals and provided 8 assists in 14 games in the top-flight this season.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is approaching the final six months of his current Liverpool contract and has yet to receive contract extension offer.
