In preparation for the 2014 World Cup qualifying match scheduled for March 22, Egypt is set to engage in a friendly match against Qatar on March 7 in Doha. The coach of the Pharaohs, Bob Bradley, aims to utilize this friendly fixture for refining the team’s final adjustments. It’s worth noting that Egypt had previously triumphed over Qatar in a friendly encounter on December 28, securing a 2-0 victory.
For this upcoming match, Bradley will have access to players from Al Ahly. The Cairo club initially declined the invitation, citing their upcoming championship clash against ENPPI just three days later.
Currently leading their qualifying group for the 2014 World Cup with a flawless record of 6 points (i.e., 2 victories in as many matches), Egypt is gearing up to face Zimbabwe on March 22.
