Egypt’s head coach Hossam Hassan is showing class off the pitch with a heartfelt gesture toward Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kandoussi.
The Pharaohs boss personally called the injured player to lift his spirits following a serious injury during a recent Egyptian League match against Fargo.
Kandoussi, who suffered a broken tibia, was also contacted by Egyptian national team manager Ibrahim Hassan. According to an official club statement, both men reached out to offer their full support and encourage the player through his recovery journey.
“Hossam Hassan made sure to motivate the player to return to the pitch as soon as possible,” the statement read, highlighting the coach’s commitment beyond just his squad.
Ibrahim Hassan added that the national team stands behind Kandoussi and looks forward to seeing him back in action.
The midfielder was also visited by players from his former club Al Ahly, as well as members of Fargo, showing unity across teams.
Kandoussi’s recovery is expected to take up to six months before a possible return to competitive football.
