Egypt goalkeeper Shady Sherif Abdelmonem joins Diamond SC

Egypt goalkeeper Shady Sherif Abdelmonem has joined Diamond SC from Dayrout SC, completing a move that takes him to the club on a contract running until 30 June 2029.

The 25-year-old made the switch on 31 July 2026 after leaving Dayrout SC, where he had been registered during the 2025-26 season. Abdelmonem’s arrival gives Diamond SC a new option in goal as they begin preparations for the new campaign.

Abdelmonem spent part of last season on loan at G. Shebin, joining the club from Dayrout SC on 6 February 2026. The loan ended on 30 June, bringing him back to Dayrout before his subsequent move to Diamond SC.

The goalkeeper’s career record includes spells with Dayrout SC and G. Shebin, with the latter period coming through a temporary transfer. His latest move is the first recorded change of club since returning from that loan arrangement.

Abdelmonem, born on 10 February 2001, now begins a new chapter with Diamond SC after completing his move from Dayrout SC. His contract with the club is due to run for three seasons, until the end of June 2029.
