The Egyptian Football Association has officially set the stage for the upcoming 2025–2026 Premier League season, confirming the draw will take place on Sunday, July 27.
The event will be held at the Al-Hadaf Project headquarters in 6th of October City.
Led by Ahmed Diab, the Association outlined this next chapter in Egyptian football with a fresh competitive structure and expanded participation. This season will see 21 teams battle it out, following a decision to cancel relegation last year—paving the way for Wadi Degla, Arab Contractors, and Ismailia Electricity to join the top flight.
Kicking off on August 8th, the league will begin with a full round-robin format. In the second half, the structure will shift: seven teams will compete in a high-stakes title group for domestic glory and continental spots, while the remaining 14 will be placed in a separate group to determine the four clubs that will drop to the second division.
This strategic format aims to raise competition and maintain excitement throughout the season, setting up what promises to be a thrilling and unpredictable campaign.
