Edward Chilufya: Zambia winger joins H. Jerusalem on loan from Midtjylland
Zambia winger Edward Chilufya has joined H. Jerusalem from Danish club Midtjylland on loan, completing a move that takes the 26-year-old to Israel’s Ligat ha’Al. The deal was completed on 7 September 2026, with Chilufya’s loan running until 30 June 2027.
The right winger arrives after making one appearance for Midtjylland in the 2026-27 Superliga campaign. He played nine minutes and did not score or provide an assist before leaving the Danish champions.
Chilufya joined Midtjylland from Swedish side Djurgarden in January 2022 for €2.4m. He spent part of the 2023-24 season on loan at fellow Swedish club Hacken before returning to Denmark.
During his time with Midtjylland, Chilufya won the Danish league title in the 2023-24 season and lifted the Danish Cup twice, in 2021-22 and 2025-26. His honours also include a Swedish championship and Swedish Cup victory with Djurgarden.
He began his senior European career at Djurgarden after moving from Zambian club Mpande Youth in February 2018. Chilufya, who was born in Kasama, is listed at 1.78m and is predominantly right-footed.
The move gives H. Jerusalem a player with experience in both Swedish and Danish football, as well as appearances in European qualifying competitions. Chilufya has featured in qualifying campaigns for the Europa League and Europa Conference League during his career.
H. Jerusalem have secured the services of Chilufya on loan from Midtjylland until the end of June 2027.
