Senegalese international Edouard Mendy has had an impressive debut season in the Saudi Pro League, ending as the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets, alongside Yassine Bounou of Al-Hilal. This feat places him ahead of other top goalkeepers in the league, including Mailson of Al-Taawoun (13 clean sheets) and Paulo Victor of Al-Ettifaq (12 clean sheets).
A significant part of Mendy’s success can be attributed to the solid defensive lineup in front of him, featuring internationals like Turkey’s Merih Demiral and Brazil’s Roger Ibañez.
Their collective effort fortified Al-Ahli’s defense, making them one of the most formidable backlines in the Saudi Pro League.
