Edo Queens face Ampem Darkoa in decisive UFOA-B final showdown

Edo Queens of Nigeria will meet Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the final of the UFOA-B women’s qualifying tournament, with the regional title and a direct place in the next CAF Women’s Champions League at stake.

The match is scheduled to begin at 19:00 GMT at the Stade du 4-Aout in Ouagadougou, where both sides will compete for the biggest prize available in the West African regional competition.

Edo Queens have named Charlotte Adjie in goal, with Glory Edeth, Marylyn Essien, Uroko Valentina, Ufeoma Ikenokwalu, Saidat Adebiyi, Folorunso Aminat, Chioma Moses, Dooshima Tarnum, Annastasia Doosuur and Oluwakemi Adebiyi completing the Nigerian team.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies will start with Rose as their goalkeeper. Nancy, who has been confirmed as captain, will line up alongside Patience, Maltiti, Rebecca, Asana, Patricia, Beline, Gloria, Milot and Asimo.

The final offers more than the UFOA-B crown. The winning team will also secure an automatic qualification place for the next CAF Women’s Champions League, giving the fixture added importance for both clubs.

Edo Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies are therefore competing for two major rewards at the Stade du 4-Aout: regional recognition and progression to Africa’s leading women’s club competition.

The Nigerian side’s starting line-up includes Charlotte Adjie behind a defence and midfield featuring Glory Edeth, Marylyn Essien, Uroko Valentina, Ufeoma Ikenokwalu and Saidat Adebiyi. Folorunso Aminat, Chioma Moses, Dooshima Tarnum, Annastasia Doosuur and Oluwakemi Adebiyi will also take part from the start.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have selected a starting XI led on the field by Nancy. Rose will provide the goalkeeping cover, while Patience, Maltiti, Rebecca, Asana, Patricia, Beline, Gloria, Milot and Asimo make up the rest of the Ghanaian line-up.

With kick-off approaching, the official teams have now been confirmed for a final that will determine the champion of the UFOA-B women’s zone. The decisive outcome will also identify which club books a direct ticket to the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League.

The contest is set to take place in Ouagadougou at 19:00 GMT, with Edo Queens representing Nigeria and Ampem Darkoa Ladies representing Ghana. Both teams will be aiming to finish the tournament as regional champions and earn the accompanying continental qualification.
