Edgar Pacheco: Portugal-Angola winger joins Atletico CP on free transfer

Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourg side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left winger has signed a deal with the Lisbon club running until 30 June 2027.

Pacheco returns to Portuguese football after a spell in Luxembourg’s BGL Ligue, where he moved in 2025 following a short period without a club. His switch to Atletico CP was completed on 24 July 2026 as the Liga 3 side reshape their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Born in Seixal and standing 1.76m tall, Pacheco operates primarily on the left flank but prefers his right foot, offering the Lisbon outfit an inverted wide option. His current market value is listed at €100,000, having previously peaked at €600,000 earlier in his career.

The winger arrives with silverware on his CV, having won the Luxembourg Cup with Differdange 03 in the 2025-26 season. Before that, he was part of the Cherno More Varna side that finished as Bulgarian league runners-up in 2024, after joining the Bulgarian club from B SAD on a free transfer in 2023.

Pacheco came through the youth systems of several Portuguese clubs, including Real SC and Belenenses, before stepping into senior football with B SAD and then moving abroad. He has yet to feature this season, with his continental and domestic cup statistics for 2026-27 still to be opened.

Atletico CP have now added a versatile, experienced wide player on a free transfer, tying Pacheco down for the next season in Liga 3.
