Edgar Pacheco: Portugal-Angola winger joins Atletico CP on free transfer from Differdange 03

Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourger side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left winger has signed a deal with the Lisbon club running until 30 June 2027.

Pacheco, who was born in Seixal and stands at 1.76m, returns to Portuguese football after a season in Luxembourg’s BGL Ligue. He moves into Liga 3 with a current market value of €100,000 and will operate primarily on the left of Atletico CP’s attack, cutting in from the flank on his favoured right foot.

The forward arrives in Lisbon having enjoyed recent cup success, featuring in the Differdange 03 squad that won the Luxembourg Cup in the 2025-26 campaign. His move to Differdange in July 2025 came after several months without a club, following his departure from Bulgarian side Cherno More.

Before his spell in Luxembourg, Pacheco spent time with Cherno More Varna in Bulgaria, where he was part of the team that finished as Bulgarian league runners-up in 2024. That move had come after leaving B SAD, where he progressed from the under-23s into the first team.

Pacheco came through various Portuguese youth systems, including Real SC and Belenenses, before establishing himself at senior level. His experience across Portugal, Bulgaria and Luxembourg adds an international dimension to Atletico CP’s wide options.

The free-transfer switch from Differdange 03 to Atletico CP is effective from 24 July 2026 and ties Pacheco to the club for the 2026-27 season.
