Edgar Davids, the former Dutch international, has officially ended his football playing career. Davids, who had been playing for Barnet in the English 5th division while also serving as a coach, decided to retire after receiving a third red card in eight matches against Salisbury City. The 40-year-old, nicknamed Pitbull, cited dissatisfaction with the referees as a reason for his decision. Despite retiring from playing, Davids will continue in his role as a coach at Barnet.
