Eddy Kouadio: Monza sign Fiorentina centre-back on season-long loan
Monza have signed centre-back Eddy Kouadio from Fiorentina on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old defender joins the Serie A club for the 2026-27 campaign in a straight loan move from the Florence side.
Born in Prato and eligible for both Italy and Ivory Coast, Kouadio arrives at Monza having already featured in Serie A for Fiorentina, making three top-flight appearances last season. Standing at 1.91m and operating primarily on the right side of central defence, he bolsters Monzas options at the heart of their back line.
Kouadio progressed through Fiorentinas youth system, moving up from the under-17s to the under-19s before stepping into the first-team squad in 2025. He was part of a successful generation in Florence, winning the Coppa Italia Primavera in 2023-24 and the Italian Primavera championship in 2025-26 with Fiorentinas youth sides.
At youth level, he amassed more than 40 appearances in Primavera 1 and also gained experience in European competition, playing in the Europa Conference League for Fiorentina. He additionally featured in domestic youth cups and finals, building up over 3,000 minutes across various age groups and competitions.
Kouadios loan to Monza runs until June 2027, after which he is due to return to Fiorentina at the end of the agreement.
