British rider Sam Sunderland (Honda) achieved his first stage victory during the Dakar Rally, winning the 359 km course between San Luis and San Rafael. The 23-year-old expressed his excitement about the diverse terrain and credited his team for their efforts. Sunderland is currently third in the overall standings, 2’33 behind the leader Joan Barreda (Honda).
