Ebuka Nneji: Nigerian defender joins Ravshan Kulob on free transfer from Krumkachi
Nigerian centre-back Ebuka Nneji has joined Tajik club Ravshan Kulob on a free transfer from Belarusian side Krumkachi.
The 23-year-old, born in Akegbe Ugwu, moves to the Vysshaya Liga outfit after a short spell in Belarus, where he most recently featured for Krumkachi following a January switch from Orsha, also on a free.
Nneji, who stands at 1.83m, has built his career in Eastern Europe in recent seasons, with spells at Slonim and Orsha before his move to Krumkachi for the second half of the 2025-26 campaign. His latest transfer, completed on 29 July 2026, takes him out of Belarusian football for the first time since he established himself there.
A specialist centre-back, Nneji has already experienced domestic cup action in Belarus, making appearances in the Belarusian Cup and playing the majority of available minutes when selected. His move to Ravshan Kulob offers him the chance to translate that experience into a new league and environment.
Ravshan Kulob compete in the Tajikistan Vysshaya Liga and Nneji’s arrival adds defensive depth as the club strengthens its squad with an international recruit in a key position.
The Nigerian defender joins Ravshan Kulob on a permanent basis following the expiration of his deal at Krumkachi.
