Ebenezer Akinsanmiro: Inter’s Nigerian midfielder linked with Serie A move to Monza

Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, the Nigerian central midfielder currently at Inter, is being linked with a move to Serie A rivals Monza as the Lombardy club explore midfield options for the new season.

The 21-year-old, under contract with Inter until 30 June 2029, has seen his standing rise significantly in recent months, with his market value now estimated at around €7 million. Monza are understood to be monitoring his situation closely as they look to strengthen centrally, with Akinsanmiro’s profile matching their preference for players already adapted to Italian football.

Akinsanmiro joined Inter’s senior setup in July 2024 after progressing from the club’s youth ranks, and has since accumulated top-flight experience, making 25 Serie A appearances and registering one assist. He also featured in the Coppa Italia and previously enjoyed a productive spell in Serie B, where he played 35 times and contributed a goal and an assist, underlining his ability to handle regular league football.

The Lagos-born midfielder first arrived in Italy from Remo Stars in January 2023 and was part of the Inter squad that went on to win the Serie A title in 2023-24, adding domestic silverware early in his European career. His development has been furthered by loan spells at Sampdoria and Pisa, before returning to Inter at the end of June 2026.

With Inter well stocked in midfield and Akinsanmiro tied to a long-term deal, any move to Monza is expected to hinge on the type of proposal put on the table, but for now his future officially remains with the Italian champions.
