Dynamo Kyiv have secured the signing of highly rated Paris Saint-Germain academy striker Pierre Mounguengue, beating competition from several European clubs for the 18-year-old forward.

Mounguengue chose Ukraine after being offered guaranteed first-team opportunities, a promise that convinced him this was the right step to accelerate his development. Strasbourg and Danish side Midtjylland were also in the race, but Dynamo’s clear sporting project and the intent shown by the club’s hierarchy tilted the deal in their favour.

The Ukrainian giants are believed to have outlined a direct pathway from youth to senior football, something that strongly appealed to the teenager and his representatives. Club president Ihor Surkis reportedly played a hands-on role in negotiations, personally pushing to get the transfer over the line.

Mounguengue arrives in Kyiv after a standout 2025-26 campaign with PSG’s U19s, where he scored 21 goals and delivered 12 assists in 35 appearances, underlining his reputation as one of the academy’s brightest talents.

He capped that season by making his senior debut under Luis Enrique in May 2026, a milestone that highlighted his readiness for regular top-flight football. Dynamo now believe they have secured a future star to lead their attack.
