DYNAMO KYIV: BELHANDA DOES NOT REGRET HIS CHOICE

Three months after leaving Ligue 1, Younès Belhanda, the Moroccan international, has adapted well to life in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv. Despite his goal of eventually playing in the Premier League, he is content with his decision to join Dynamo Kyiv during the last summer transfer window.

Belhanda recalls the convincing meeting with the club’s president in Monaco, where he learned about the project and felt a strong connection. Although his dream is to play in England, he acknowledges that maybe he didn’t do everything necessary to attract English clubs last year. Dynamo Kyiv’s interest and knowledge about him reassured him, leading to his decision to sign with the Ukrainian club without any reservations.

Adapting to the new environment, language, and country took some time for Belhanda, who had been with Montpellier for ten years. However, after this initial adjustment period, he now feels comfortable. He has already made an impact on the field for Dynamo Kyiv, scoring a hat-trick against Metalurg in early October and becoming one of the club’s most regular players. The coach has deployed him in the number 10 position, a role that Belhanda appreciates.
