Justin Diehl is making significant strides on his road to recovery from a muscle injury, with promising updates from head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
Speaking at Friday’s press conference, Hoeneß revealed that the talented attacker is progressing steadily, though no specific timeline has been set for his full return.
“I don’t want to do that yet because you will always be measured on it, but it looks good,” said the coach. He further detailed that Diehl has resumed light team activities: “He has now played a warmup with the team in the corner for the first time. Now is simply increased step by step.”
While the transition back to full team training is not immediate, Hoeneß is optimistic about Diehl’s trajectory: “I don’t think it will take a long time for us to see him fully in training, but he still needs the rehabilitation steps to be well prepared for training.”
The coach expressed confidence in Diehl’s potential impact once he returns, concluding, “He got a good step closer.” Fans will be eager to see how the youngster’s comeback unfolds.
