Dutch-Nigerian forward Joshua Zirkzee agrees to join Juventus

Manchester United are prepared to sanction the departure of Dutch-Nigerian striker Joshua Zirkzee, with the forward edging closer to a summer switch to Juventus.

The 24-year-old is keen to leave Old Trafford after struggling for regular playing time, and the Serie A giants have emerged as frontrunners for his signature.

Zirkzee’s time in Manchester has not gone as planned since his €43 million move in 2024, with limited opportunities restricting his impact. This season, the Dutchman has managed just two goals and one assist in 20 appearances, prompting a desire for a fresh start elsewhere.

Juventus, meanwhile, are actively looking to reinforce their attacking options amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Dušan Vlahović. Zirkzee has been identified as a viable option to bolster their frontline ahead of the new campaign.

In a surprising development, Manchester United are reportedly willing to accept a significantly reduced fee of around €25 million for the striker—nearly half of what they paid less than two years ago. The club is also open to alternative arrangements, including a loan deal with an option to buy, should a permanent transfer not materialize this summer.

Despite being under contract until 2029, Zirkzee appears set for an early exit as both player and club look to move in different directions.
