Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong is set to depart Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the ongoing campaign.
Frimpong, who opted to play for the Netherlands at the expense of Ghana is one of the most sought after players heading into the summer transfer window due to his swashbuckling performance in Germany.
The 24-year-old versatile player has caught the attention of several top clubs in England and Spain as they seeks to secure his signature in the summer.
The highly-rated wing-back is desperate to depart Leverkusen despite having an existing contract with the club. Frimpong is seeking for a new challenge after almost five year spell with the Bundesliga club.
According to reports, several top clubs in England and Spain are willing to meek Leverkusen’s asking price, which is around 40-45 million Euros.
In 40 matches this season, the Dutch-Ghanaian international has scored 4 goals and provided 11 assists.
He was instrumental last season when Leverkusen annexed the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal titles respectively.
