Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong is eager for the Liverpool following his switch this summer.
Frimpong recently joined the Premier League giants following an impressive performance for Bayer Leverkusen in the past two season. He replaces Alexander Arnold, who departed the club to join Real Madrid at the expiration of his contract.
Liverpool’s newly minted defender stated that earning a place in the starting lineup comes with massive responsibility—one he feels prepared for.
“Liverpool is a massive club, so it’s always a huge responsibility. If you play for Liverpool, you have to be at your best and deliver results. I have always believed in myself. I am a winner. That’s what I’m bringing to the team.
The Premier League is the best league in the world. I grew up in Manchester, so I’ve always wanted to come back. It was always part of the plan. I know what it means to be a champion with Bayer, so joining a title-winning side is a privilege. Watching them on TV and now playing for them—it’s crazy,” Frimpong told Sky Sports in an interview.
