Dutch attacker of Ghanaian descent, Myron Boadu scored the winning goal for VfL Bochum on Sunday afternoon when the team defeated Heracles Almelo 1-0.
The German club today engaged the side from the Netherlands in a friendly match ahead of the second round of the 2024/25 football campaign.
Both teams used the friendly to assess the level of players and try out different tactics.
Myron Boadu, 23, started the friendly match today in the attack of VfL Bochum.
The forward excelled in his role and scored in the 73rd minute to win the match for his side.
Just a minute after scoring, Boadu was replaced by Semin Kojic
Although Heracles Almelo had the chance to equalize in the 87th minute when a penalty kick was awarded, Suf Podgoreanu could not score from 12 yards.
The goal today is a big confidence booster for Myron Boadu.
He has been working hard and will hope to score more goals for Bochum in the second round of the German Bundesliga.
