Erzgebirge Aue midfielder Ali Loune, 22, found himself at the center of controversy after a late-night crash in Zschorlau, where his car collided with a house wall while he was reportedly intoxicated.
According to the police, the off-road vehicle veered off the road near the Gemeindeberg junction, plowing through a front garden before slamming into the wall. No injuries were reported, but the damages are significant—€43,000 in total. The wall suffered near-total destruction, and Loune’s car sustained heavy damage.
A breath alcohol test conducted on the German-Moroccan player revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.8 per mille. His driver’s license was confiscated on the spot, and he now faces charges of endangering traffic.
“At the level of the Gemeindeberg junction, the off-road vehicle left the road to the right, drove through a front garden and collided with a house wall,” explained a police spokeswoman reported by Tag24.
Born on March 17, 2002, in Hanau, Germany, Loune’s career began at FSV Frankfurt before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt’s youth academy in 2016. Currently on loan at Erzgebirge Aue from FC Nürnberg, he debuted professionally in August 2023 in a 2. Bundesliga match against Hansa Rostock.
It remains uncertain how this incident will impact his career trajectory.
