DCMP’s coordinator criticized Linafoot’s decision, describing it as “unfair, unjustified, unfounded, and corrupt.” Tshimanga Tshipamba expressed dissatisfaction and threatened to withdraw DCMP from the championship, stating, “We are not going to participate in a comedy.”
Apart from the power cut, DCMP supporters were accused of engaging in violence against Sanga Balende players. Linafoot’s decision was based on these incidents, as well as the projectiles thrown at Sanga Balende players. Ngoyi Kasanji, president of Sanga Balende, called for better security measures, highlighting the safety concerns for their players.
