DR Congo international Fiston Mayele has secured the CAF Champions League goal king award following the conclusion of the competition.
The 29-year-old forward registered his name on the scoresheet on Sunday when Pyramids defeated Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg tie in Cairo to lift their maiden Champions League title.
With this goal, Mayele finished the season with nine goals, earning him his first ever Champions League goal king award.
Mayele was locked in a fierce battle with his teammate Ibrahim Adel for the Golden Boot heading into the crunch return fixture.
