It appears that Borussia Dortmund could soon have two Aubameyangs in their first team, as Pierre-Emerick’s brother, Willy Aubameyang, has reportedly made a positive impression. The 26-year-old midfielder, who has been playing with the Borussia Dortmund reserve team since the beginning of August, is said to have caught the attention of the club’s leaders.
According to L’Equipe, Willy Aubameyang, formerly of AC Milan, has been repositioned in central defense for the Borussia Dortmund reserve team. The report suggests that he is likely to be offered a one-year contract with the first team. It’s worth noting that Willy Aubameyang had an amateur contract with the B team of AS Saint-Etienne last season.
If the contract is finalized, it would mean both Aubameyang brothers featuring for Borussia Dortmund’s first team, adding another family connection to the squad.
