Dortmund shortlist Mateus Mané among summer transfer targets

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly identified teenage prospect Mateus Mané as one of their priority targets ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to reports from 4-4-2.com, Dortmund officials have been tracking the 18-year-old attacker, who is of Guinea-Bissau descent and currently on the books of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The attacking midfielder has caught the attention of the Bundesliga side with his refined technical ability and composure beyond his years. Within the German club, he is viewed as a player with significant room for growth and long-term potential.

Dortmund, however, are far from alone in their admiration. Domestic rivals Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are also monitoring his progress closely.

Interest extends beyond Germany, with European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and several Premier League giants, including Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC and Manchester United, all said to have dispatched scouts to watch him at Molineux.

The coming summer could prove decisive. If Wolverhampton were to suffer relegation to the Championship, the likelihood of formal bids from top-flight clubs would increase significantly. Despite being tied to Wolves until 2029, a transfer is considered possible should the financial terms align.

Although Mané’s current market valuation is modest, Wolves are reportedly demanding a fee between £45 million and £50 million.

The figure reflects the club’s belief in the teenager’s immense promise and their determination to protect one of their most prized young assets.
