Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing England-born forward of Nigerian descent, Ethan Nwaneri, this summer.
Sources have indicated that the German Bundesliga club are keeping tabs on the talented winger and could make a formal approach this week.
Nwaneri, 18, recently won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with England. He has impressed at both club and international levels with his flair and versatility in attack.
The Arsenal youngster has already made 39 competitive appearances for the Gunners, netting nine goals and providing two assists. Capable of playing across multiple attacking positions, Nwaneri fits the mould of Dortmund’s youth-focused recruitment strategy.
Reports suggest that Dortmund even presented Nwaneri with a potential development pathway similar to Bellingham’s meteoric rise at the club. However, despite the Bundesliga side’s interest, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Nwaneri is set to extend his stay at Arsenal.
His current deal runs until 2026, and the North London club are keen to secure his long-term future.
